View moreBEIJING, Sept. 12 -- China on Friday unveiled an action plan to promote the development of new forms of energy storage between 2025 and 2027, amid efforts to support green energy transition and ensure the stability of new-type power systems.
Subse-quently, on November 6, 2024, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technol-ogy issued the draft Action Plan for the High-Quality Development of the New Energy Stor-age Manufacturing Industry, which empha-sized the need to develop LDES technologies and proactively plan for ultra-long-duration energy-storage systems.
In January 2022, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration jointly issued the Implementation Plan for the Development of New Energy Storage during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period, emphasizing the fundamental role of new energy storage technologies in a new power system.
