4. Grid-connected inverter control techniques Although the main function of the grid-connected inverter (GCI) in a PV system is to ensure an efficient DC-AC energy conversion, it must also allow other functions useful to limit the effects of the unpredictable and stochastic nature of the PV source.
When modeling grid-connected inverters for PV systems, the dynamic behavior of the systems is considered. To best understand the interaction of power in the system, the space state model (SSM) is used to represent these states. This model is mathematically represented in an expression that states the first order of the differential equation.
